We are equipped to build VW
engines to your specific requirements or can supply standard "off the
shelf" engines.
Most rebuilds are fitted with new barrels, pistons and cylinder heads.
We can use your existing engine case or if you prefer, a full exchange
engine.
A 1600 cc twin port engine consists of:
- having your
case line bored (on the premises).
- fitting new
or reground crank and cam shafts
- new oil
pumps (standard or high volume)
- closed/honed
and rebushed conrods
- machined
flywheel
- new pistons
or barrel and piston kits (Big bore kits are also available in 1641 cc)
- new or
reconditioned cylinder heads
- new bearings
and gasket kits.
New engines are
available in 1600, 1641, 1776 and 1835 cc - at your request
1800 cc and 2 litre engines (air cooled) consist of:
- line bored
case.
- oil gallery
plugs removed, drilled, tapped and fitted with tapered inserts to
prevent major oil leaks.
- reground
crank shafts, reground cam shafts fitted with counter sunk screws for
extra strength.
- machined fly
wheel, conrods, etc.
- new barrels,
pistons and cylinder heads.
1.9 L and 2.1 L water cooled engines consist of:
- standard or
line bored case
- all head
studs removed and replaced with new ones
- polished or
reground crank shafts and reground cam shafts
- new
hydraulic lifters fitted
- machined
flywheel, conrods, etc.
- new barrels,
pistons and cylinder heads.
- new water
pump and engine coolant.
